Booking Details

The Sampson Room, Stanage Hall, Lawrence Hall and Main Hall can be booked by the hour. As the Hall is a community resource, there are discounts possible for multiple bookings by local groups.

For availability please see the calendar on this link and use the drop down to find availability for the room you are hoping to hire. You can also request a booking from here. When you have found availability, click on the ‘+’ icon on your chosen date. If you have not booked before, you will need to register with the system.

For queries and costs please contact the Booking officers on 07470 297297 or email at booking@hathersagememorialhall.org.uk  Please do not ring the booking number to enquire about tickets for specific events, as details of these are the responsibility of the event organiser. Pleas also note that the Bookings Officers are all volunteers and a reply may take up to 24 hours.

The following prices apply to bookings from 1 Jan 2024. Rates are per hour, 8am to 12pm. There is no charge overnight, but we may ask for heating costs if the hall is occupied.

Tier 1 = Commercial hires, weddings, children and adult parties etc

Main hall £17; Stanage Hall £14; Lawrence Hall £14; Sampson meeting room £9; Whole hall £35

Tier 2 = Regular bookings for local not-for-profit community groups (e.g. societies run by volunteers)

Main hall £12; Stanage Hall £10; Lawrence Hall £10; Sampson meeting room £8; Whole hall £29

Tier 3 = Regular children’s activities run on a voluntary basis (eg brownies, mother and toddlers’ group

Main hall £9; Stanage Hall £8; Lawrence Hall £8; Sampson meeting room £7; Whole hall £24

Please note that our system allows for 30 minutes clearing up time after your event, so this will show on the calendar of bookings but you will not normally be charged for it.

Whilst we aim to keep our booking fees low, we do have to review costs on a yearly basis to cover our costs, therefore if you book the hall a  long time in advance the fee charged may be higher than the initial quote.

The best way to request a booking is by clicking on the ‘+’ icon on your chosen date and completing the online form. Please read the Booking conditions (available using the link below) and tick the box on the online form that you agree to these conditions. Your booking will be confirmed by a member of the booking team.

If you have problems sending forms, please email us or call giving us details of

  • which room you wish to hire
  • date and times
  • your name, email, phone number and address
  • and confirming that you have read our terms and conditions of hire.

Cancellation Declaration

Whilst every effort is made by the management committee to ensure that the hall you have booked is available at the time and on the date for which you have booked, there may be unforeseen circumstances which mean that we are unable to fulfil your booking. In such circumstances we will refund any payment that you have made to secure the booking. However we will not be responsible for any other expenses you may incur as a result of the hall not being available. We therefore strongly recommend that you take out “event insurance” to cover this eventuality.
